"...without the following limits: South side of Customhouse street from
Basin to Robertson Street, east side of  Robertson street from
Customhouse
to Saint Louis street, from Robertson to Basin street". This was the
wording
of the ordinance, January 29, 1897. It was amended on July 6, 1867, with
an additional September 1, 1897 supplement, by which time it had
become a long and complex document. All the best.
