[Dixielandjazz] Lee Castle

Lee (Castaldo) had his own band "Castles in the Air" until the Big
Bands went under. Like many good players, he took anything to
keep playing. I played (piano) with him in 1949 in Boston, Mass. for 
three weeks at the Savoy....Mickey Gravine,tromb. Joe Barafaldi,
clarinet . The others  I can't  remember.  Lee was a fine player--
knew all the OKOM tunes. Forty years later I played with him in
Sarasota, FL. At every break he would regale us with non-stop
jazz-otiented stories.  Great guy!
